Regular maintenance (multiple times a year)

  • Clear rain funnel of debris
  • Wipe down instrument and solar radiation sensor with clean non-abrasive cloth
  • Clear sonic wind path of cobwebs and any debris.
  • Application of UV Protection for PHYTOS 31 using McNett UV Tech protection (apply more frequently for older LWS sensors) (METER Group Recommendation)
  • Clean logger solar panel with a clean non-abrasive cloth

AWN Required Annual Maintenance (AgWeatherNet Requirement)

  • Install new logger batteries (Nickel-metal hydride battery AA x 6)
  • Inspect instrument level (sensor should be less < 2° than two degrees from perfectly level)
  • Inspect sighting for true north
  • Clear debris in rain funnel
  • Clear debris in sonic wind path (careful of sensors)
  • Application of UV Protection for PHYTOS 31using McNett UV Tech protection (apply more frequently for older LWS sensors) (METER Group Recommendation)

AWN Required Biennial Maintenance (AgWeatherNet Requirement)

  • RH sensor chip replacement: PN 30415 $114.00 (US only) KIT, Replacement RH/Barometer daughter PCBA and porous teflon cover. (AgWeatherNet Requirement)
  • Pyranometer Annual Calibration/Replacement: PN 30414 $130.00 (US only) KIT, Replacement ATMOS 41 Funnel/PYR. Note: Does not include both sets of springs. (AgWeatherNet Requirement)

ATMOS 41: Accuracy—without all the complexity

The accurate, affordable ATMOS 41 weather station was designed for continuous deployment in harsh climates, such as Africa, which means there are no moving parts to fail. Setup is incredibly easy, and maintenance has been simplified to the maximum because there’s never any mechanical wear. No oiling or replacing bearings. Just reliability you can continue to count on.

ZL6 advanced cloud data logger

The ATMOS 41 weather station works seamlessly with the ZL6 for simple, plug-and-play data logging and cloud-based data storage and management. You can set up an entire weather monitoring system without any complex wiring or programming. And ZENTRA Cloud field app allows you to check your data on a smart phone to ensure data matches up with field observations.

ZENTRA Cloud software

The ZL6 uses ZENTRA CLOUD data visualization software to give you data in near-real-time for rapid decision-making and data-driven management. It even has automated GDD models, so you know exactly when it’s time for scouting or control measures.
